A committed believer in Jesus, born in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, Robert (Mr. Bob) Eberly learned from an early age both the foundations of the Christians faith and the
construction trade. It was that exposure that would give him both the vision and experience for what would become a lifetime effort of helping the less fortunate in other countries to gain access to quality housing and ministry offered in the name of Christ. That vision for ministry has characterized Mr. Bob’s life since his early adulthood, beginning by taking his family to serve people just across the US border in mexico.

Later, Mr. Bob would serve as the business director of the United Brethren in Christ mission in Sierra Leone in the 1980’s, and since that time has served people in Jamaica, Honduras and Belize, Central America. In the late 1990’s, Here’s Hope Ministries was founded, and was subsequently incorporated as a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit US corporation in 2003. Around that same time, Here’s Hope Ministries purchased 42 acres in Valley Community, Belize, registered as a Belizean non-profit organization, and began construction on Hosanna House, a shelter for abused and neglected children.

Currently, Hosanna House is the home for more than 25 children ranging from infancy to almost 18 years of age. Beyond Hosanna House, Here’s Hope actively seeks opportunities to share the grace of Christ to the people of Valley Community and throughout the central portion of the nation of Belize.
