Hosanna House ’09

Sharing hope for eternity by meeting needs today!

Well, here we are at Houston TX waiting for our flight to Belize City. After the rough weather in Chicago last night, it was nice to wake up to some relative calm. After our 5:45 am departure from the Windy City, we arrived at Houston at almost exactly 8:00.  Now we’re just waiting for our 11:00 flight bound for Central America. 3 Hours.  Sounds like about enough time for 3 visits to the local Starbucks kiosk to me. :-)

When? June 20-July 4

Where? Belize Central America (Yeah, Belize is a country. Seriously. Google it. South of Mexico, north of Honduras. Used to be called British Honduras but that name was changed before most of us were born)

Why? Because Indiana summers just aren’t hot enough! (Okay, actually we’ll be building a fence around the Hosanna House compound and helping give the staff a break by taking on some routine chores)

Favorite Critter? Gotta be the Gecko! (haven’t seen one dressed in a suit yet, though)

Favorite Color: Orange

Favorite Spot: Xunantunich Maya Ruins. Amazing history! (Just don’t lose the ball game. They had a way of beheading the losers. Must be where the term SORE loser came from. Yikes!)

Best Activity: Big Tuesday

Favorite Belizean Food Rice & Beans

Favorite Quote: Lorem ipsum consectetuer adipiscing elit. Curabitur vel eros.
