Hosanna House

God is at work in the lives of the girls that we have been privileged to have assigned to Hosanna House. We praise God for the opportunity he has given us to share his love with these girls. Even though we have been operating only a few months we can see God working in the lives of the girls as they get involved in the youth group at church and are influenced by the Christian love shared with them by the staff at Hosanna House.
Blanca is a fourteen year old girl from Honduras. She came to Belize illegally and was found on the streets of the capitol city of Belmopan. The Government of Belize assigned her to us for several weeks while they worked with the Embassy of Honduras to return her to Honduras.

Marla and Blanca

While at Hosanna House Blanca could be counted on to be the first to help in the kitchen and was almost always found in the class room coloring or drawing or working with needle work. She was a joy to have at Hosanna House and a positive influence on our other residents.
The day Blanca departed Hosanna House was a very sad day for both Blanca and the staff at Hosanna House. After returning to Honduras she has telephoned Hosanna House and thanked the staff for the love expressed to her. She stated that she misses Hosanna House and expressed a desire to return. Please pray for Blanca as her family in Honduras is very poor and she has suffered from abuse.
Construction
The construction of Hosanna House is nearly complete. We are currently building a wall around the back yard for a safe and secure area for recreation.

This will complete the construction on Hosanna House. We praise God that through all the construction we have been able to stay debt free. As we now move to the operating stage of Hosanna House we do not have any debt on the property.
We are now needing to fund an operating budget. Rodger, the business manager for Hosanna House, has sent me a budget for $2000.00 US dollars per month to cover the operating expenses. Items covered include, food for the girls, electric, communications, transportation, wages for national workers, office expenses, propane for cooking, etc., school costs for the girls, as well as miscellaneous expenses.
We are trusting God to raise up churches, individuals or other groups that will commit to supporting the budget of Hosanna House on a regular monthly basis. We believe that some churches may include in their annual missions budget $2,000.00 for one month support of Hosanna House. A Sunday school class or other group or individual may want to commit $500.00 for one weeks operation expenses. Of course a donation in any amount towards the operating expenses will be greatly appreciated.

God has given us a great opportunity to share his love with girls that are desperate for acceptance, appreciation and love. On my last visit Marla, one of our girls, gave me a poem she wrote for Darlene and I. In it she wrote this: "When I get older I will talk and say they are the ones that make my life change. Tomorrow is fuller than a thousand yesterdays with the vision of a new day in my heart.”
With your support together we can give hope and a vision of a new day to our residents at Hosanna House.
